Willow Sculpture Day - May 2008

Fun and absorbing – no experience needed. To be held at The Willows & Wetlands Visitor Centre, Stoke St Gregory, Taunton Somerset, TA3 6HY

Workshop Tutor: Stephen Froom - www.wickedwillow.co.uk

Choose from Sat 3rd May or Sat 24th May 2008 - (10.00am till 4.00 pm)

Sat 28th June 2008 - (10.00am till 4.00 pm)

Sat 26th July 2008 - (10.00am till 4.00 pm)

The day costs £75.00 which includes all materials and you get to take your sculpture home with you at the end of the day.
Numbers are limited to 7 per workshop so that Stephen can give everyone a decent amount of help.

All you need to bring for sculpting is a pair of gloves – preferably for doing nimble work.

You can decide on the day what you would like to make. If you already have ideas then bring pictures but please bear in mind that simple, streamlined or dynamic shapes work best, e.g. a bird in flight is more impressive than a more rotund shape like stationery duck or pot-bellied pig. This is because rounded shapes are difficult to achieve and take a long time to do.

Bring a packed lunch or there is the option of a special workshop lunch in the Courtyard Tearoom (May workshops: soup, roll & butter, apple pie and cream + tea or coffee £6.50; June & July workshops: salad, apple pie & cream + tea or coffee @ £6.50). Our tearoom will be open from 9.30 am and throughout the day for refreshments.
