Held here at The Willows & Wetlands Visitor Centre.

No previous experience needed just enthusiasm – all materials and tools provided.

Basket Making Workshops 2012 -
Beginner/Intermediates

Fun and useful – no experience needed - Workshop Tutor: Jonathan Coate or Paul Tuck

Sat 28th January from 9.30am till 4.00pm, Sat 25th February from 9.30am till 4.00pm, Sat 24th March from 9.30am till 4.00pm and Sat 28th April from 9.30am till 4.00pm.

You will be taught basic techniques to create a simple round basket of your choice. e.g. wastepaper, shopper or log basket.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided from our Courtyard Tea Room.

The workshops will take place in our own professional basket workshop and you will not need to bring any tools as they will be provided for your use for the day.

All workshops costs £85.00 which includes all materials and lunch and you get to take your work home with you at the end of the day.

Living Willow Workshops 2012

Workshop Tutor: Barbara Clift. (as seen on BBC Gardeners’ World and in Kim Wilde’s Gardening with Children book)

The workshop will cover willow varieties, positioning, design and preparation. You will experience planting, weaving and maintaining a structure and you will work on a large structure as a group.

Cost £55 including lunch

As you will be unable to take home your structures you will be able to purchase willow at a 20% reduction on the day to take home and put your new found expertise into practise!

Plant Supports and Climbers Workshops 2012 - No previous experience needed.

Workshop Tutor: Jay Davey – local bespoke willow worker

Introduction to the possible uses of willow in the garden. This workshop will show you how to make useful and decorative supports for your sweet peas, delphiniums, clematis etc. Participants will learn basic weaving techniques allowing them to make edging hurdles, small border supports and climbers. By the end of the day participants should finish a number of small items to take home and having gained the skills to attempt larger projects in the future. Tools and materials provided.

You will be sent a receipt as confirmation of your place for the workshop. If your first choice is booked we will contact you for a second choice.
Places are transferable and monies refundable up to 4 weeks prior to workshop or later if we are able to fill the place from a waiting list.
We reserve the right to change, cancel with as much notice as possible in which case full refunds will be given.

NB. Clothing suitable for general gardening in April. No tools required unless you wish to bring a favourite pair of secateurs.
